Hotel The Garden 6 Ichinomiya

There was Wi-Fi, but nobody gave me the password, and I didn't feel like using the kettle. I also missed having an outlet by the bed. The vent area on the unit bathroom wall was rusty, though the room itself was clean and thankfully didn't smell. The bed had no odor either. The common areas had a strong spicy smell, which left me feeling odd. I couldn't tell whether all the staff were foreigners, and as a Japanese guest, I expect hotels to be clean, so that unease stuck with me. It's expensive for somewhere more than a 10-minute walk from Ichinomiya Station. Nothing was clearly terrible, but I'd keep in mind that the actual rooms may differ from the photos on the booking page and Google Maps.

I walked into the room, was speechless, and left straight away. It looked nothing like the pictures, smelled awful, and had such a strong negative aura that staying felt too scary. I regretted my choice. You get what you pay for, I guess. I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone who's easily frightened or sensitive to smells.

I stayed in room 402. It was fairly clean, and the foreign receptionist was friendly and provided good service. There was a microwave near the entrance, which was handy. The two single beds took up space in an already small room, and the bathroom felt even more cramped. The bathroom door didn't lock, though that wouldn't matter if you know everyone staying there. There was no hotel parking, so you have to find a spot nearby. There also seemed to be no time limit on parking, so it would probably get expensive.
