The terrace and garden made it easy to enjoy a different kind of island stay from a hotel, and at night the sky was beautiful. The beach is under a five-minute walk away. I spent 3 nights and 4 days here on my own, and being able to do laundry every day was great since I jog daily. The room's spacious enough that next time I'd bring a friend or family member.

Even though it was raining, we could still barbecue under the deck, and the place felt private and comfortable. The room was spotless, with hotel-grade beds, towels and linens. They kindly took our bags and ingredients before check-in, and cutlery was provided. Kitchen scissors would've been useful, but we'd definitely stay again if we get the chance. Thanks so much 😀
The bathroom had a relaxing scent that really stood out, and there were so many photogenic little touches that just wandering around the room was fun. It's a beautiful inn, and you can barbecue charcoal-grilled meat with drinks too. Fantastic.
If I come back to Iejima, this is my first choice. It's quiet at night, and on clear nights you can see a starry sky. The old Okinawan exposed-concrete exterior contrasts with a thoughtfully renovated interior, filled with aromatherapy and potpourri. I stayed alone after visiting Iejima in July 2025 and found it comfortable. The hot and cold water dispenser is handy, the tableware is stylish, and the MUJI items are put together really well. Check-in was smooth, and checkout was simple, just dropping the key in the mailbox. The port and a convenience store are both walkable, though I'd recommend renting a bicycle. The accommodation guide says geckos, frogs, and ground spiders may visit, and that geckos are seen as 'house guardians' rather than pests. I agree, but anyone sensitive to insects should take care.
It was a small inn where we could relax without worrying about people around us. Barbecuing on the wooden deck with music and drinks was lovely, but the bed was so hard that I woke several times and slept badly. None of the living room chairs were comfortable either. The TV was the worst. I could have accepted that it was a bit worn, but the placement was laughable. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner for the bath; this is personal preference, but my smooth hair felt coarse the next day. I didn't buy water because there was a dispenser, but I didn't like it. There were a few geckos too, so watch out if you don't like them. I'd like to visit Iejima and this place again, though those issues may make me hesitate.
