The food, made with local products, was really good. I also liked that the room design and service hold on to traditional touches. A genuine Japanese stay at a reasonable price!

The room was a lovely tatami space, neat and beautiful, with an ocean view when I opened the sliding doors. It almost felt like an upgrade, which made me so happy. The inn itself was quaint and relaxing, and the bath was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I was traveling to Iki by motorcycle and booked a stay. Right from check-in, the young proprietress and everyone else were thoughtful and courteous. Nearby are Ashibe Port, where fresh local fish is sold, along with supermarkets and convenience stores. The young proprietress made fresh coffee in the morning, and it was delicious. I had a great trip thanks to this stay, and I'll definitely come back. I'm grateful for that chance encounter.

This was my eighth visit, and the food has been superb every time. There was so much fresh fish I could hardly finish it. The proprietress and the rest of the staff are always smiling and so attentive. I'll stay at Kaneya Ryokan again when I return to Iki Island!
