We came for a cycling trip and found this place like a haven. The owners and other guests were so warm and welcoming. I recommend booking a room that includes breakfast and dinner, especially because you shouldn't miss the dinner. Glad to have shared the place with such great people.

Miyuki-san and Ken-san are gracious hosts, and I'm grateful they've opened their funky, comfortable guesthouse to travelers. Miyuki-san's cooking is outstanding. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast. The place was very popular before the pandemic, so book early if you want to stay.

The food was delicious, and the company was lovely. This is a great place to stay along the Shimanami Kaido cycling route. The friendly couple who run it are based in a small fishing town and go out of their way to share information about nearby attractions. They even pick guests up or drive them to scenic spots.

We couldn't stay because the guesthouse was already full, but the owner kindly helped us find somewhere for the night. She was so nice that I have no doubt Guesthouse Kume is a wonderful place to stay. Thank you so much! 🙏
