Alpine Lodge

The drying room was useful for my snow gear, and I liked relaxing by the fireplace with a drink from the cafe machine. The staff were lovely too, and the food was far tastier than I expected for the room price. Everything felt tidy and thoroughly cleaned, from the room to the bedding, which made for a really pleasant stay. I came at the beginning of the year and left very satisfied. I’d definitely like to come back if I get the chance. Thanks so much for a great stay!

It was lively with quite a few families around, but things settled down at night and I slept comfortably. The shared bathroom and toilet were very clean. I needed to go to Fukushima Prefecture at short notice, and the hotels I had in mind were all booked. I called Coco Alpine Lodge directly and was lucky they had one room left. I stayed one night, from October 11 to 12, 2025, and would stay here again if I have the opportunity.

The main problem during my five-night stay was the noise in the early morning. Guests arriving then were loud enough to wake me in the middle of my sleep, and the cleaning staff started earlier than at other hotels and made so much noise I couldn't sleep. If they can address that, I'd definitely stay again. My room was around 6 tatami mats, which was enough for one person. It had a TV, air conditioning, and a table, and I was comfortable otherwise. The staff were kind and attentive, which helped me relax.

The breakfast was carefully made and really delicious, and the futon was fluffy with crisp, nice white sheets. I paid 8,800 yen including breakfast and tax, which felt like better value than a typical business hotel. Since I booked that evening, I couldn't have dinner. I came after skiing at Inawashiro Ski Resort. I hadn't booked ahead and they kindly fit me in at the last minute. It was my first stay in this kind of accommodation. The wood stove and clean common areas made a good impression. The bath and toilet were shared but clean, and there was a waxing stand for drying and maintaining skis. My tatami room had a place to dry ski wear and small things, which helped a lot. The tatami itself looked like it was starting to wear. I'd like to come again and plan to book next season.
