The one good point is that parking made the room reasonably priced for Nagoya. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it. The balcony has no shield, so it feels unsafe, and it’s very noisy beside the train tracks. The washing machine is on the balcony and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year, with dirt inside. The towels are colored, the many tables look aged and ready to be thrown out, and the toilet is tiny. The hot water limit is ridiculous, I’ve never seen that at any of the many hotels I’ve stayed in. The owner seems to be luring people in with fake pictures.

The room was filthy, with smelly towels, mold in the bathroom, and a washing machine on the balcony covered in dust inside and out. Everything looked used, nothing like the nice photoshopped pictures. One tip for arriving: leave right away and ask the host for a refund, though he’ll certainly refuse. Then contact Booking, Airbnb, or another service and send them photos.

We wanted something basic, and that’s what we got. The room was a fair price for the location, and booking through Airbnb was easy, which is mainly why we picked it. It had its own bath and shower, plus a TV, microwave, fridge, and hot plate with a pan. Very cozy, but the shower curtain was gnarly.

Not a bad place. There’s a decent manga library by the smoking section and a balcony where you can hang out. Some rooms have washer-dryers, while others only have a washing machine, so check which room you’re booking.

I only stayed because the JR trains had stopped during the typhoon. The location wasn't good, the rooms were tiny, and it felt far too expensive for what you get. It also didn't really feel like a hostel.
