The building seems old, but what bothered me more was the cigarette smell around the alley and reception. The aircon was being maintained while we were there. The hotel gave us an electric fan, and we opened the window, so that solved the problem.

The building is old, but it was clean, and the price was good. Rooms are small, though fine if you're only there to sleep. Kanayama station is about a ten-minute walk away.

This is just a place to sleep, so don't expect luxury. It's not really the nicest hotel, Kiyoshi #1, but for what I paid I can't find much to fault. It was dirt cheap and close to where I needed to be, so I'd probably stay again.

The location is the only good part. They charge Y30 per minute even for free calls, despite what I'd been told, and insects may show up.
