The quiet setting was lovely, even though it’s a little way from Tottori Station. The landlady was attentive and very kind, and I was impressed by the facilities and hot springs. Having a spacious private bath was a real plus. I’d like to visit again.

I stayed from August 11th to 12th on my first trip to Tottori from Chiba. I wonder if the proprietress runs the place on her own. She was so friendly, and I had a great time. The hot spring was incredibly hot, like the Levabule in Evangelion. A hot spring should be hot like that! Next time I’d like to have a meal there too. My room looked out over the streets of the hot spring town, so it really felt like staying at an old inn. There was chilled water in the fridge as well. I hope the inn keeps doing well.
Having the little inn to ourselves on a weekday made for such a relaxing stay, a welcome break from everyday life. It usually accommodates only three or four groups staying without meals, but there were no other bookings that day. The landlady was efficient and thoughtful, and I got to try her delicious homemade scones. I left feeling refreshed and at peace. The bath uses water directly from the hot spring source, and it felt very gentle. I was happy to enjoy a morning soak too. On my walk, I greeted the locals I passed and got to try a footbath. Thank you for the hospitality.
Yoshioka Onsen is a charming old hot spring town with a nostalgic feel. The inn is comfortable, and you can really feel the proprietress’s thoughtfulness. The family bath is private, and they welcome you to use it whenever it’s free. Our meal came in a two-tiered bento box. I wondered if it would be enough when I heard that was the plan, but it was more than filling and very tasty. The hot springs were wonderful, highly recommend them.
The landlady was so warm and kind. Breakfast included a heart-shaped fried egg, which lifted my mood first thing in the morning. It was delicious enough that I wanted more, though I’d eaten too much the day before. Five stars don’t feel like enough for this inn!
