The owner was incredibly thoughtful when I stayed here on a motorcycle trip a few years back. They lent me a bike cover and let me hang up my rain-soaked jacket and helmet, and breakfast was delicious. I was comfortable overall, but bugs were the one real downside. With the place set in the woods, insects swarmed around the entrance and building, and even with the window screened they slipped in through tiny gaps. I had to borrow insecticide from the owner to deal with the ones in my room, so I took off a star.

I've stayed here twice, once over Golden Week and again at Christmas. The peaceful feel really suits the pension's name, and the owner is kind. There's a stream right alongside the building, and an early walk in the fresh air is lovely. The area around it is wonderful too. The basic plan is bed only, but breakfast is available for 850 yen, with homemade bread and jam. You can also order dinner à la carte, so food isn't a worry. There are two baths, both big enough for a family.

The owner is wonderful, and the family bath was a real plus. We stayed in a Japanese-style room and felt completely at ease, even though this was our first guesthouse stay and we were a bit nervous. It's handy for Alts Bandai Ski Resort, and we'd be glad to stay again when we're visiting Lake Inawashiro for activities in the warmer months. Thanks so much.

It's easy to reach by taxi, fairly close to the station and convenience stores. The owner is fantastic, and breakfast comes with a good range of tasty breads. You can also buy the bread at Inawashiro Roadside Station. There are two baths, one for one or two people and another for families, and both can be booked for private use. That worked well for families with little kids, and the changing rooms were clean and felt safe. Toilets and washbasins are on both floors. There's manga and picture books too. The dining room has a hot plate and hot pot set, and there's a fridge with coffee, tea, and green tea available to drink whenever you like.
