The location worked well for getting to the train station, Narita airport, nearby shopping malls and local restaurants on foot. Costco is close too. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the onsen area seemed clean, though by then I didn’t feel like checking closely. Staff were generally helpful, especially one person who spoke Korean and Japanese fluently and was very friendly. I was given an upgrade with a nicer bed and more amenities, which is considered compensation in Japan, where monetary compensation isn’t common. The fruit flies were the main problem. During a two-night stay, I had to change rooms three times because each room had them. There were several flying around, and many under the table and mini fridge, on the walls, and near the waste bin. I also found some crawling around the bed and wall. Looking more closely, the walls hadn’t been wiped down properly, and juice or other sweet residue seemed to be attracting them. Finding the flies in the middle of the night meant moving then, and the second room had the same issue. I finally got settled around 1am. Because of the cleanliness problems, I can’t recommend the hotel unless they tighten up their cleaning.
