The balcony outside our room had an amazing mountain view, and the house was immaculate. Our room felt comfortable and private, and the neighborhood has a charming feel. Staying here gave us a chance to experience life in a regular Japanese house instead of the usual hotel setup. Y., the host, is unbelievably nice and attentive. She had everything we might need ready and waiting, plus loads of useful information and suggestions. She helped us with ideas for climbing Mt Fuji, local onsens, and even finding a haircut. Bus and train timetables were already printed, and she called restaurants ahead to ask about dietary restrictions. She showed us how to unlock the door, though we never really needed to use that because she was always there to welcome us.

Even though we were there for just one night, I was so happy with our stay at your homestay. Meeting you was a pleasure, and you made us feel very welcome. I hope I can visit again sometime. Take care, and I hope we meet again soon! Best regards, Atikah

Yumico was so friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful experience and really appreciated his hospitality. I’d absolutely stay at his house again if I come back to Fuji. 100% recommended.

Yumiko was happy to help whenever we needed her, and she readily shared advice on places to visit nearby and good restaurants. The house is nice and practical. We had an excellent stay. Thank you!

We slept really well and had a restful stay. The house was spotless, and Yumiko was so helpful and lovely. We’ll stay at Yumiko’s again next time we’re in Fujiyoshida. Thank you, Yumiko.
