We were pleased to get a buffet breakfast at this price in the Kawaguchiko area. The hotel is bright, close to Fuji-Q Highland, and our spacious, comfortable room had Mount Fuji to the left and sunset to the right. Guests can use the separate onsen facility in another building, with a range of hot spring baths. One thing we found a little hard to understand: hotel yukata aren’t allowed in the onsen building. That differs from many hotels, and the hotel clothes are quite simple. There’s even a dedicated passage between the hotel and onsen, though guests have to change and take off their clothes once inside the onsen anyway.

I booked the cheapest room for two, but nothing about it felt budget quality. The staff were professional and good with English, there’s a small automated convenience store, and town is about a two minute walk away. It’s an excellent base for a Fuji-focused trip. My one minor gripe is the early entry to Fuji-Q amusement park through its own hotel entrance. The early window doesn’t help much because rides and food stalls aren’t open yet, though guests can book some rides in advance at the automated ticket machines, which gives early visitors an advantage. That same time slot is available for an appointment at the Mt. Fuji viewing platform, probably a better way to spend it.

The deluxe room was spacious, with stunning Fuji views, but the windows were dirty and there was mold in the bathtub. Housekeeping needs improvement. We were there to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Most staff were kind and friendly, but at dinner the steak station staff member was very slow and seemed annoyed when guests asked for meat. It made the interaction uncomfortable and felt as if we were asking a favor instead of being served. Early access to Fuji-Q Highland was convenient, and the March weather was perfect. It was a pleasant stay overall, though the restaurant service and room cleanliness need attention to make it truly excellent.

The bus stop is right beside the hotel, with free buses around the area and services to Tokyo, Shizuoka, and Mishima, which made getting around easy. Our room was spacious, and the Japanese male receptionist with a Mt. Fuji brooch on his black suit was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was relaxed and had no time limit, though the dinner buffet was limited to 90 minutes. The hot spring is a five-minute walk away. There was less seafood selection than we expected, but we’d still be happy to stay here again. Thank you 🥰 Feb, 2026

The hotel works well for a quiet break, with spacious, comfortable rooms and good value for the price. The onsen is clean, large, well kept, and connected directly to the hotel, so you don’t have to go outside in the cold. It’s also right by the resort and Fuji Q theme park. Entry is free, while rides cost extra. We enjoyed the meals. Breakfast came with a Mount Fuji view, and dinner at the Japanese restaurant felt premium, although it was pricey. Getting here from the airport takes a while, and there aren’t many places to walk to apart from the resort and onsen. That may not matter if you’re here to rest. Check-in is strictly at 3pm.
