A beautiful Japanese haven, mixing luxury and serenity with wonderful service and food that's a treat for the eyes as well as the taste. Every dish is a work of art. Can't wait to come back.

Each room sits in its own separate building, so it's peaceful and you can hear nature around you. There's an open-air bath in every room, and I soaked in the hot springs five or six times. They also run a shuttle from the nearest station, so a car isn't necessary. The landlady and staff were warm and welcoming without being stiff, and dinner was a pleasure from beginning to end. I was very happy with the room and food, but the hospitality was the standout. The Mie Prefecture kaiseki course included elaborately prepared abalone, Matsusaka beef, and conger eel. The conger eel soup broth was the best part. Spiny lobster was out of season, so we missed it this time, but I'll look forward to it next visit. There was a broad drinks list, from local beer and sake to lots of non-alcoholic choices. Many were refreshing and not overly sweet, so they didn't overpower the food. The sparkling green tea had a strong tea aroma and tasted great. My companion doesn't drink alcohol and enjoyed having plenty to choose from, which made the meal fun even with a low tolerance for alcohol. I was satisfied with every part of my one-night stay while visiting Ise Grand Shrine. Next time I'd like to stay at least two nights. I'll definitely return.

The landlady and staff were cheerful and kind, and their hospitality really warmed my heart. The landlady and female staff singing was amazing too. We combined a visit to Ise Grand Shrine with our honeymoon, and having each room in its own building made it easy to relax. The open-air bath water felt so smooth that we went in several times. The food used local ingredients, and you could feel the care in every dish. Breakfast was delicious, and dinner especially so. There were plenty of non-alcoholic drinks as well, so people who don't drink much could enjoy them. Thank you for such a wonderful day. I'd love to come back in another season.

The service here really stayed with me. We have two children, and everyone at the accommodation showed them so much affection. It's not unusual for a landlady or a few people to dote on children, but here it was everyone. While we were eating, I had a photo of my late father with me. I'd recently lost him, and the staff gave an offering in his honor. That was very touching. I stayed here for Ise Grand Shrine, and the rooms, food, and service were all top-notch. I can't think of better accommodation in the area. I'll stay here again whenever I visit Ise Grand Shrine, and hope to see you next year.
