The owners were incredibly kind, and we won’t forget our stay. We’d happily recommend this warm hostel. Our room was bright, clean, and had a really comfortable bed. It’s right by the sea, with a lovely view, and there’s a handy bus stop close by. Marube and Jigoro Ocean are both delicious places to eat, just a few minutes away on foot.

The sea view was lovely, though the balcony barrier blocked quite a bit of it. The location was quiet and convenient enough with a rental car. Breakfast was supermarket food, including a small salad box, packaged bread, an egg, and fruit-flavored yogurt sweetened with chemicals. The bed wasn’t great: the frame was cheap and squeaky, and the spring mattress too soft. I also spotted a small roach in the bathroom. Not bad, but not amazing.

A car would be useful here. The room was nice and close to the city, the price was great, and the washing machines were free to use.

The couple who own the hotel were so kind and thoughtful. When we had to leave very early, they packed breakfast for us, and on a rainy day they offered us umbrellas. They also let us borrow beach towels for the day. Thank you for such a warm welcome! Our stay made Ishigaki perfect. The rooms were spacious and clean, the air conditioner worked very well, and the balcony looked straight out over the ocean. Laundry and parking were free too.

The place is right on the seafront, and the room was clean and well equipped, with a great shower. There are local places to eat nearby, and a bus stop about five minutes away makes it easy to get to the main town or the airport. Our hosts were delightful, spoke good English, and helped in every way. They booked restaurants for us, accommodated our early start, and made the stay feel very relaxing. We really enjoyed being here.
