The front desk woman was so kind. She didn’t speak English, but did her best to explain everything. Everyone was really nice. I’d definitely recommend the place and would like to come back!

The location is perfect if you’re okay with the setup. I booked a private-style room, but maybe because of limited space, there wasn’t a separation between men and women, and a man was sitting next to me. It also seemed like many guests stay for months, so I felt there was inevitably a divide between long-term and short-term residents.

Inside Euglena Mall, this guesthouse has a lot of space and some strength training equipment, like ab rollers, that I haven’t seen at other guesthouses. You can also pay to store your luggage after checkout, which is handy for travelers. The kitchen smelled a bit, there weren’t any social gatherings, and cleanliness could be better.

I stayed in March 2024, paying 2,600 yen a night for a room only. It’s a dormitory and feels a little old, but it was cheap enough that I put up with that. I paid when I booked through Booking.com, but the accommodation said they hadn’t received payment. I called Booking.com and got the issue sorted out. I’d never had trouble with Booking.com before, and I was a bit dissatisfied. I wish someone from the accommodation had called Booking.com, though I guess that’s what they’re supposed to do. I’d heard about some troubles in the news, so I suppose it was to be expected.
