A nice option if you’re on a budget.

I liked having an in-room clothesline, which was handy for laundry. My private room had no TV, only a towel blanket for bedding, and a window AC unit that worked perfectly. Towels and toothbrushes weren’t supplied, so bring your own. The doors at the entrance and room locked automatically, which made me feel secure. There was a women-only toilet and shower room, and the shared area had an induction stove and pots. Laundry cost 100 yen in coins dropped into a jar. The building is old and not especially clean, but the price is reasonable, and it works well as a basic place to sleep for a night. Shampoo was provided, but the bottle was nearly empty. I had brought my own, though I’d suggest doing that. Cleaning didn’t seem to happen every day. The shower room bin had been left for several days, and disposable contact lenses from other guests had been sitting in the second-floor bathroom for a long time. It felt like the cleaning was basic rather than thorough. Still, for the cost, it could suit travelers and backpackers who want a simple, affordable place to stay. There’s also a nearby shop where you can easily pick up ice, water, and similar things.

Having storage around the dorm bed was very convenient. There are discounts for longer stays, so that could make it a decent choice if you’re staying awhile. The cleaning overall could have been more thorough, especially in the toilets, which smelled bad.

For a casual solo trip, this was fine if all I needed was a cheap place to shower and sleep. Finding it was a bit tricky, but Euglena Mall is about a 10-minute walk along a straight road.
