Ishigaki hills

Everything you might need is in this amazing new place. There's also a cute cat that sometimes comes by, which is a nice bonus.

The staff were so kind and helpful, even when we made unusual requests like asking them to prepare a Christmas cake. Our kids loved the pool toys, indoor games, and getting to play with resident cat, Fuku-chan, every day. We stayed for three nights from December 23rd at the end of the year. The location was perfect, with beautiful sunsets from the heated pool and lovely moonlight and stars at night. The whole family was so happy with our stay that we'll definitely return to Ishigaki Island and stay here again.

The villa’s thoughtful design stood out in every part of our stay, from the layout and tableware to the BBQ set and the building itself. We spent three days and two nights at OPEN SKY VILLA starting February 21st, and the heated pool was a real highlight since the sea, despite the comfortable 23°C weather, was still too cold for swimming. From the high ground, we had an open view of the sunset with no power lines in the way. Planes passed overhead along their flight route, which made for a memorable sight you can only get in this spot. We packed too much sightseeing into our two days. Next time I’d leave more room to relax and enjoy the scenery and air of Ishigaki Hills.

What made the stay especially easy with young kids was all the practical stuff: two toilets, a diaper bin, a washer and dryer that got clothes dry quickly, and toys, helmets, sandals, and electric bicycles. The kitchen had plenty of appliances and stylish, varied dishes, so cooking for ourselves was simple. Each of the three rooms also gave us its own private space, and the roomy bathroom let us enjoy a bath with our child. We came as a three-generation family for three nights. The wood scent was soothing, and the view of the ocean as we walked in took everyone’s breath away. It felt almost like being overseas. The changing light through the mornings, afternoons, and sunsets was lovely, and at night we could keep looking up at the stars. We were all very happy here and already want to return.
