We asked for a non-smoking room, but the room was worse than a bingo hall. We left, and they offered no refund. Nobody spoke English. A terrible stay. Avoid this place.

I came here twice as a cycling base. Being able to bring my bike upstairs in the elevator made it feel safe, and they had a stand so I could work on it in the room. The place is older, but having a bath in the room is handy whenever I want one. On my first stay I overslept and missed checkout by less than an hour, and they kindly waived the extra fee. The second time I booked a separate room, then decided I wanted to relax and switched to a twin room. I slept really well. 😊

The retro atmosphere of this long-established hotel really suits me as someone from the Showa era. The staff at reception were friendly, and it’s a reasonable distance from Ishioka Station. I’m planning to stay here again.

For the price, the room issues are bearable. The fridge was only at room temperature, there were no outlets by the bed (though they did provide an extension cord), and the shower temperature was adjustable. It’s an established hotel, with a location that’s neither especially good nor bad: the station is walkable, a 7-Eleven is about five minutes away, and Aoki Pharmacy is a few minutes beyond that. I think booking on the hotel’s own website is the cheapest option.

There weren’t many outlets, but the room had a power strip, so it worked out fine. I had a comfortable stay.
