We really liked the house and its location. There’s a lake nearby that you can visit for free and enjoy on a morning or evening walk. The place was clean and nice and quiet, though I guess the highway street nearby can get busy. We also enjoyed a BBQ, which cost an extra 3000 yen on top of the basic rental charge. A very recommendable place for groups of friends or family.

The villa, its staff, the balcony BBQ grill, and the view were all stunning and enjoyable. The price made me happy too. The road in front gets quite a bit of traffic, so be careful if you have children or dogs with you. When I called with questions, the man who answered was pleasant and polite. He respected my personal space, which made a great impression, and later he was accommodating and provided services that met my needs. The location surprised me. It felt like the middle of nowhere, quite different from what I’d imagined, haha. The place was generally clean, but three things let it down: the one-block-at-a-time ice maker’s container was brownish inside, and I didn’t want to use it even if the water might have been clean; there was quite a bit of mold in the bathroom; and some dishes were pretty dirty, probably because guests wash and put them away before leaving and they aren’t checked carefully. The plastic containers in particular didn’t look very clean.
