Jonni’s Place

The modern house was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed as a traveler. Jonni was always helpful, offered useful trip advice, and regularly picked us up from the train station. We also used the bicycles to explore the area. This has been my best accommodation in Japan so far.

Inside, the house is full of high-tech features and thoughtful COVID-19 precautions, handled with impressive professionalism. There’s WiFi, outlets with USB ports, a large living-room TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, comfortable sofas, refined decor, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machines, and dryers. The place still feels like a home. Outside, it looks like an ordinary house in Sakamoto, where there are plenty of temples and traditional Japanese specialties to visit. Jonni speaks wonderful English, likely because he’s a foreigner raised in England. He also has two e-bikes for rent. If you need a ride to the nearest station or supermarket, you can ask him to arrange it in advance, and the ride itself may be another surprise.

The house is really nice and clean, and Jonni makes you feel welcome. He even laughed at my terrible jokes.

The area is quiet and conveniently located. Jonni’s place is a lovely, cozy house that feels like home. I’m already looking forward to coming back for New Year.
