Very friendly and really good with kids. The food was okay.

I was so happy to spend our anniversary together here, taking in the scenery, soaking in the bath, and eating delicious food. We celebrated our two-year anniversary, and the inn only takes two groups a night, so we got dinner and breakfast in our room and had a completely private-feeling stay. I love the Japanese and Western mix of the room. It made me think, “I want a house like this!” The weather didn’t cooperate, so we couldn’t see the stars. I’ll come back someday to see them. They gave us cake and photos, and I loved the idea of an inn designed for celebrating anniversaries. Thanks for the happy memories!

The inn had a nice atmosphere, and the hospitality was good. We stayed with our baby, and the room had a pleasant view. Since it was a baby-friendly room, they provided lots of baby items, which was helpful. I’d like to return if the bath issues are addressed. We’d been looking forward to bathing with our child, but the open-air bath was too hot. We asked if the temperature could be lowered and were told it wasn’t possible, so bathing together just wasn’t an option. A baby bath would have helped. There were lots of insects at night too, making it hard to relax. If you want a peaceful soak, I’d suggest going during daylight. That’s why I took off one star.

The baby items went beyond what the website listed, including a nursing pillow, and they were very accommodating around our baby’s schedule. We were welcomed with a drink and even got a commemorative photo. We used the hotel for our 3-month-old’s first trip and stayed in the “Star Room.” From the terrace we enjoyed morning light with a cappuccino from our room, and at different times could see a beautiful sunset, autumn leaves, a starry sky, and sunrise over the horizon. The scenery, food, and service were all excellent. It seemed like the open-air bath temperature could be adjusted when you arrive. We’d love to come back for another special occasion. Next time, we’d like to try one of the downstairs rooms with play equipment.
