Love Dog Resort Izukogen

This was our third visit, after discovering the place last year. We liked it so much that it's become our regular choice for future trips. Our two-night stay was loads of fun, though we wished we'd booked longer. The hotel is clean throughout, and the staff are warm with us and always chat with our dogs. Lots of guests bring their own dogs, so barking doesn't bother anyone, and the dogs get to socialize. As dog owners, we love that. It's all-inclusive too, which suits my husband and me since we both enjoy alcohol. We were sad that the dog community time wasn't happening this visit. We'd been looking forward to it, but there was no sign of it. Staff told us it had been discontinued. They knew a lot about dogs, shared plenty of advice, and even taught us massage techniques. We really hope the activity comes back.

We went with our baby, and our dog was comfortable too. Being able to take the dog everywhere was great, and the dog buffet was fun. The staff were friendly to both of them. The one letdown was the baby crib in the changing room. It was so dusty, probably because it isn't used often and hadn't been cleaned properly, so we put a bath towel over it before dressing the baby there. On the other hand, the baby bath chair in the time-reserved bath was a huge help. Everything else was great.

Everything from the staff's thoughtfulness to the services left me feeling more satisfied than at any other inn I've visited with my dog. I'll definitely go again. It's my first stay here, and it was so dog-friendly. The staff were kind to my dog, with lots of amenities provided, even diapers and dog steps, so there's no need to bring things along. It's all-inclusive, with plenty of drinks, photo spots, and activities such as the rock sauna, karaoke, and billiards that dogs can join in on, so people have lots to do too. I was happy that my dog and I could wear matching work clothes around the hotel, including in the dog run. I added the dog buffet. My dog eats fast and chokes, so I appreciated that they provided plates to slow him down. Breakfast and dinner had the same buffet menu, but there was a wide selection, and I think my dog was very satisfied.

The food was delicious, and I left really satisfied. Little touches like the complimentary drinks, cookies after the meal, and mints in the restrooms made the whole place feel thoughtfully cared for. Everything was clean, and the staff were so attentive. I also enjoyed the animal communicator's talk. Thanks so much to everyone for being so welcoming. I hope I can come back in October. 🙇‍♀️
