The room and decor felt oddly dated and didn't seem like five-star quality, though everything was tidy and well kept. The toilet's automatic light was extremely bright at night and couldn't be turned off, even after we asked, which was really disturbing. The food was a standout. Dinner and breakfast were among the best three I've had while traveling in Japan. We also loved the private balcony bath, fed by a natural hot spring, with its ocean view from an elevated spot on the east side of the Pacific and greenery all around. One thing I disliked was the hotel's use of disposable plastics, including straws and small complimentary water bottles, when other hotels in the same price range could easily offer more eco-friendly options.

The food was scrumptious, and the staff were friendly and professional. Some spoke good English, and the service was excellent. It's not close to the station, but the shuttle bus takes you there. From the balcony, we could take in Sagami Bay and listen to the birds singing. There's also a study where you can read or listen to music on a turntable. It was a very pleasant stay, and one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

Loved the place. The view was stunning, and the service was great, with English-speaking staff. Kinmedai was delicious, and having an outdoor private onsen right in the room made it even better.

The bath was a natural hot spring with water flowing continuously, and it warmed me right through. The shower was inside the room while the bath was outside, which felt a little embarrassing, haha. The hospitality was amazing from the welcome through mealtime. They looked after us with so much care, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious and served in generous portions. I was extremely satisfied.
