Beautiful.

We paid 11,500 yen per person for a Saturday night with two meals, a hot spring bath, and a very spacious, clean room. Is there anywhere else like this in Izu? It's also close to Yokohama, so I'd like to return. We came as 11 people and stayed across four rooms on Saturday, May 30th-31st. From our balcony on the third floor of the main building, we could see the sea. The room was huge and clean, with two spaced-apart semi-double beds plus a Japanese-style room with six tatami mats. The wallpaper, carpet, curtains, futons, sofa, and lights all looked brand new after renovation. I was told it hadn't been renovated recently, but it looked so fresh. The exterior is old, and the hallways and front desk aren't new, though they aren't run-down. The bathroom and toilet were older too, but clean and separate. The restaurant had been beautifully redone, with a pleasant view of greenery and the sea. The food was tasty, with lots of variety and good portions. Since it wasn't a buffet, I think they could prepare each dish properly. At dinner everyone got a whole simmered splendid alfonsino. The steamed meat, tempura, sashimi, and chawanmushi were all delicious, and the freshly grilled horse mackerel at breakfast was great too. The reception staff were cheerful and kind. I left something behind in my room, but they called right away and sent it cash on delivery. It reached my house two days later.
