Onahama Ocean Hotel & Golf Club

The staff were super helpful and friendly, and breakfast was a nice buffet with a good range of food and drinks. Our room faced east over the ocean, so we woke up to great views and sunlight streaming in. We loved that. The room was spacious and came with lots of extras, including shampoo, body wash, and various beauty items. Being just a couple of hours from Narita airport, this hotel made a wonderful introduction to Japan for us.

The oceanfront or golf club view from the room was nice, and the outdoor Onsen was good. The hotel is big, but it's a bit old and gets very crowded. We had to wait for food in the morning, and the room was old and not as clean as you'd expect by Japanese standards.

Waking up to the sunrise was amazing. The setting is calm and lovely, close to the sea with a golf course nearby. The Onsen was very good, including an outdoor one where you can see the ocean and feel surrounded by forest. The rooms are spacious and made it easy to relax, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are three restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all with nice sea views. We only tried the breakfast buffet, which had lots of seafood along with some Western and Japanese options. There are also tennis courts and karaoke boxes. Fukushima Aquamarine is very close, about 6km away, as is a very big Aeon mall.

The mornings are lovely, with sunlight coming straight into the room when you wake up, and the evenings are amazing. The staff were great and the food was good. It has all the facilities you need. This is one of the best places I've ever stayed. If you're visiting Iwaki, it's a very good option. You'll love it.
