Mrs. Maroulla's HOUSE

We had the cosy little house to ourselves for two nights. It had a shower, toilet and micro kitchen with a fridge, cooktop, toaster and microwave, plus a small couch, sleeping futons (x4?), a low table for meals and a counter with two stools. Everything was very clean. They also left a loaf of nice thick bread and two jams, a welcome touch. It’s barely a five-minute walk from the ferry terminal, and the AC was a lifesaver in the July heat. We booked Mrs Maroullas House by email through the website and paid cash at check-in. It’s pricier than a hostel bed, but the privacy and quiet were worth it. Bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in, though, since the shades don’t block much light. We rented electric bikes four minutes away at Sweet Plum, where you can return them until 10 pm. See that review for more.

We stayed for a couple of nights and were able to bike around the whole island. This adorable, private place is great for couples or families. Be sure to get the motor bicycles in town.

I loved this place. It’s small but laid out really well, and the location is very convenient. It has everything you need for a wonderful time.

Maroulla s house is lovely, and he’s the best English speaker in all the wild wild west!
