Toyoko Inn Iwakuni Station Nishi

For a business trip, Toyoko INN worked well for me. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the rates were affordable, and the staff were polite and reassuring. I picked it mainly for the excellent location, and was satisfied with it for business use.

This was the worst experience of my life. We were made to stay here during our move because the hotels onn base were fully booked. Even though we'd paid to stay, staff kept pressuring us to leave for room cleaning every day. I had given birth by C-section three weeks earlier and had a newborn, but they expected us to be out from 10 to 3 every other day. They even put notes on our door telling us to leave. We had nowhere to go in the Japanese summer, so we kept taking our unvaccinated baby out into the heat while they cleaned for five hours. There's no parking at the hotel, and affordable parking is a 5-10 minute walk away. I'd give this place zero stars if I could.

There were microwaves and a toaster downstairs, and water and ice cubes were readily available at the entrance. Hot coffee was available all day, and the free Japanese breakfast buffet was good. The stay was excellent, and everything was very clean.

Breakfast was good and included, and the hotel is a few blocks from the train station. I'd give it 4 stars because my room smelled funky.
