The breakfast was handy, though the bread tasted like ordinary store-bought bread. The croissant was little, but nice and crisp. My room was clean and came with towels, shampoo, and a hairdryer. I stopped overnight while heading to Oita. If you're driving uphill toward Nobeoka, you'll need to turn around, but it's only about 600m away. For a convenience store or other errands, it's easier to stop before you get there.

Traveling with my dog was easy here. The price is reasonable, and having bread for breakfast was a real help. The room was clean, the bed had plenty of space, and I especially liked the unlimited coffee from the high-end coffee maker. It makes me want to try inns around the country. 😊

The outdoor balcony was a great place to take in the ocean view in the morning, and the stars at night were beautiful. I stayed here on a trip to Miyazaki. I usually choose family lodges when I travel, and this one had clean rooms plus a clothes dryer, which I hadn't come across before. I like spending my trips out at tourist spots, so the night check-in and simple morning checkout, just leaving the key in the box, work well for me. The prices are very reasonable.

Traveling with my dog used to put me off going anywhere, but now I want to pick destinations based on where Hatagoya inns are. We planned to stay two nights, but there wasn't a room on the first day, so we only stayed the second night. I'd booked through some website, then got a message right away saying I had to cancel. After that, I was told it was cheaper to book directly on the Hatagoya website, so I booked another Hatagoya inn instead. It was our first time using one, and I think the system is fantastic. We had early morning stays both days, at 4 and 5 am, so a regular inn would've felt like a waste. We couldn't use the "enjoying the city" plan of missing the last train, lol, and we had our dog with us. In that situation, this was the only option. The bathroom and toilet are separate, there's coin laundry, and best of all, it's cheap. I found a great place. 💯
