The rooms were clean and a good size, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast at the cafe was ¥500 for hotel guests. The hotel has an English map of the small neighborhood, with restaurants and bars listed. It’s a bit farther from the station than two other hotels, and the internet is LAN only. Laptops are available to rent, though the model I saw was a bit old. I liked staying here, but I’d rather stay at super hotel. This place is a little dated, but still very good and reasonably priced, even though it costs a bit more than super hotel.

The hotel is close to the station, which could make it a handy base for sightseeing. I stayed for an extended period for work, though, and the laundry was inconvenient: washing cost a lot, and the machine was small, so doing a large load at once was difficult. There are lots of Wi-Fi networks listed, but I couldn’t connect to any of them. My tablet wouldn’t work, and I had to use my phone’s carrier signal, which used up my data.

The hotel is old, but the price was reasonable for the Expo period. What bothered me was the response when I asked about parking. They spoke to me in a condescending, intimidating way: “Did you reserve a parking space at the hotel? No, you didn’t! We don’t have any affiliated parking lots either!” Then they said there was a Times parking lot beside the hotel with a maximum charge of 990 yen, and even cheaper ones a little farther away.

The room was pretty clean, and the location was great, with the station, restaurants, and convenience stores all nearby. The only problem was that the TV’s HDMI wouldn’t work in hotel mode.
