Tachibana Shikitei

After the crowds and a packed trip through Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, the quiet onsen town was a lovely place to rest our tired legs. We had the private onsen room, which felt wonderfully romantic for our honeymoon. Tachibana Shikitei is near the public onsen, and I’d suggest trying it for the full cultural experience. The meals were delicious, with a different menu each of our two nights, and the shuttle made getting to and from the train station easy.

Even after coming home from my first trip to Japan, I kept missing Tachibana Shikitei. The room was impeccable, and the welcoming staff really made the experience better. My wife seriously didn’t want to check out. Big thanks to the staff for their hospitality and hard work. Take a quick stroll through town too, there are cute, charming shops.

I spent two days here relaxing and enjoying traditional Japanese hospitality, and it exceeded what I expected. I’d researched a lot of places before choosing this one, and I’m very satisfied. The photos don’t do the hotel justice.

Our honeymoon stay at this Ryokan was made really special by the staff. They were so friendly, the room looked stunning, and we loved having a private onsen bath on the terrace. Dinner and breakfast were both exceptional.
