The guy “Yoshimura” blamed me for staying in the restaurant a little past opening hours. It was a disgusting place, and nobody seemed to know anything about customer service. Worst experience ever. Don’t waste your money here, there are better places easily found.

The bath is clean and comfortable, the food gets good reviews, and it seems like good value. It also looks well placed for sightseeing around the Chiran area or visiting Tenmonkan. But there’s so little information available that first-time visitors may not know what to expect or how things work. I hear breakfast is good, and I wish they’d share more useful details and photos.

Breakfast starts at 6 a.m., which I appreciated. I expected the usual parade of frozen food, but instead there were lots of simple dishes. The selection wasn’t large, though it was enough for breakfast. The building is somewhat old, but the facilities, including the large public bath, were looked after and better than I expected. I chose this place because central Kagoshima and Tenmonkan hotels were getting expensive, and it was still reasonably priced a little farther out. The location is the tradeoff for the cost. If you don’t mind a break from central Kagoshima, it’s a decent value.

There weren’t many restaurants within walking distance, and dinner at the hotel restaurant needed to be booked ahead. The room’s bathroom, in particular, looked quite worn, with some repairs done using tape and several ant killers placed around. The building itself is older, but clean and has a pleasant feel, and the women at reception were polite and made a good impression. I stayed three nights for work. The binchotan charcoal bath was refreshing and warmed me up well, although it was a bit hot, and I appreciated being able to use the massage chairs for free. It seems to be part of a large hotel group, so I hope they keep improving the facilities over time. Thank you for the stay.

The staff were warm and polite, and breakfast was delicious. I went with a friend, and the binchotan charcoal bath left my skin feeling smooth and comfortable.
