The hot spring after a hike was the highlight of our family stay at the Samana Hotel Yakushima. Apparently it’s ranked second in Japan for beautiful skin. Our room was cozy, the beds comfortable, and the view stunning. We also loved relaxing by the ocean and trying the tasty food, especially the buffet dessert. The staff were very friendly without making too much of a fuss. It was a memorable trip, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yakushima. 😄

The views throughout the hotel are unbelievable, and the onsen is great, especially with that view. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was great too, and the staff were super kind. Everything was perfect. Thank you!

We stayed for three nights as two couples, with half board, and the food was the standout. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. We’re vegetarians and were impressed by the range and quality, though meat eaters won’t be disappointed either. We’ve rarely eaten this well while traveling. Since we had to leave early for the ferry on our last day and couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel, they kindly prepared a bento box for breakfast and lunch on the road. Special thanks to the head chef and the whole kitchen team. The hotel is right by the sea, and the rooms and atmosphere were beautiful. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout. We wholeheartedly recommend it and would love to return to Yakushima. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

For French tourists visiting Japan, staying here is an unforgettable experience. The staff are lovely, the view is magnificent, and the food is exceptional. It makes the trip to Yakushima.

From the deck, you might even spot humpback whales out on the ocean if you’re lucky. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There were lots of Japanese and Western choices at the buffet restaurant. We had a wonderful stay at the Samana Hotel on Yakushima, and I’d highly recommend it.
