The baths are in good condition, and the sides switch between men and women each day. The staff were brilliant and flexible about my large tattoos. They usually turn people away, but when I offered to cover mine and explained I’d traveled all day to get there, they let me in. They accept tattoos, and I think they’re happy to help if you’re friendly and respectful.

The water felt thick and was really good for my skin. After soaking, my skin felt smooth. It’s a very good onsen, with a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean during the sunset magic hour.

I stopped by for a weekday bath. I didn’t have a towel, so I rented one for 200 yen. The facility seemed decent and clean, and it wasn’t too crowded. Quite helpful for tourists.

The onsen only costs 600 yen. Even though I wasn’t staying at the hotel, the guys at reception were super helpful. They let me put my tent right beside the hotel, use the microwave, and borrowed me a plate.

It was easy to relax since not many people were coming and going, and the staff were very nice. If you’re curious about trying an onsen but feel a little shy, I’d recommend this place for your first time.
