The owner was welcoming, the location was good, and I had a really good one-night stay in a private room with my car. The room was relatively clean. Just keep in mind that the house’s main shower is right by the private room, and you can hear machinery and pipes above your head until 11:00 p.m. The motel has parking for small cars for $1,100 yen per night.

It was a lovely stay. The hostel felt clean and cozy, with a really friendly atmosphere. Umiya was especially kind and helpful the whole time, going out of his way to make sure everyone felt welcome and comfortable. He made my time here unforgettable.

Handy guesthouse near Hase terminal, with lots to do within walking distance. There’s a laundry. Online check-in is required, and if you don’t have an esim, there’s free wifi.

I had a great time here. The hostel was clean and well looked after, with excellent facilities. The staff were really friendly and easy to talk to, and the bar downstairs was a great place to hang out. I’d definitely come back.

We stayed two nights in late October, 2025; I also posted this review on Agoda. The staff were friendly, and the other guests kept to themselves and were quiet. It didn’t feel like a party hostel while we were there. The guesthouse was a different kind of place from the homestays I’ve tried in Japan, more like a hostel. My friend and I shared a tiny bunk room, which was fine for backpackers and a short visit, though a suitcase could be a problem. It wasn’t the cleanest: the shared bathroom had a persistent smell, and the place was a bit dusty. They also charged for luggage storage, just 100 yen each, but that still seemed odd. It’s close to the train and the seaside. The area is quiet and beautiful, though a bit expensive.
