The location is convenient, only two minutes from the beach, and the wifi was stable. But the room had stained, scratched walls and very poor ventilation. The old house was noisy too, with the floors creaking a lot when people walked. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want somewhere quiet. The sheet and mattress felt damp and unclean when I lifted the sheet. The backs of my knees started itching on the second day, then got worse on the third. I’d already been in Japan for six days, and this only started after staying here, so I think it’s reasonable to blame the hotel for the itching. I also suspect there were bugs, since I woke each morning with a few bite marks on my feet. Breakfast was ordinary. The onsen temperature varied during my stay: it was good on days one and three, but very low on day two. I hope the hosts can address these problems and make the place better for future guests.

The room was spacious, clean, and nice. It’s next to the streetcar, but gets quiet in the evening once the trains stop. You can shower at any hour, while the large private bath on the first floor needs to be booked for a time slot. There’s a market across the street for snacks, and a fridge and microwave in the shared area. They also provided a vegetarian breakfast add-on. Quiet, old-fashioned, and comfortable.

A comfortable, honest old-fashioned shouwa style ryokan, though it isn’t especially upscale. It’s right by the Enoden, with an important Nichiren temple close by and a great izakaya just down the road. Impeccable stay.

We stayed in the 'Botan' room, which has its own washroom and a little balcony overlooking the Enoden train line. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was served at the dining establishment associated with the inn across the street. A quaint traditional ryokan, and I’d stay again.

The location worked perfectly for me, close to the train stations and beach, with a supermarket across the street. I especially liked the public hot bath and the breakfast served across the road. The place was clean and spacious, even if some of the facilities are dated. The staff didn’t speak English, but we managed to communicate, and they were really friendly. Lovely little place ❤️ I’d definitely come back.
