The staircase is so steep that getting our luggage up to the third floor was a struggle. The room we received also looked nothing like the Trip.com listing photos. It was a shock to find a tiny window and an unlocked side door, like it led to a storage room, with random things inside. That felt uncomfortable. The part-time receptionist was patient and explained that the photos could differ. To get the room shown online, we would have had to pay another ¥8000, about SGD65. We decided against it, contacted Trip.com for a refund, and booked another hotel. For only about SGD50 more, we got a much better stay with views of both the sea and Mt. Fuji, as shown in my third photo.
