We came for a short family trip to Kamikawa sea world and found this a good place to rest for the night. The hotel is built into a hillside and is around 30-40 years old. It’s been maintained well, though some facilities may be out of order. The local elderly people who manage it and the staff are trying their best to keep things in good shape.

I’m so grateful to the owner and staff for helping us when a tsunami warning came in during the middle of summer. I took my mother to Hills, up on higher ground, and they let us in. They gave the evacuees tea and snacks from the shop in the cool lobby, and after I picked up my three children from daycare, they let us wait there until the warning was lifted. The owner was such a kind man. The rice balls, warm miso soup, and side dishes the staff brought us were delicious, and I’ll never forget them 😭♡ Thank you so much. I’m sorry it took me so long to write this review. I’ll definitely stay there next time!!

It was a very disappointing course meal, since the main dish never came when it should have. After the duck breast failed to arrive, I asked for it repeatedly, but got pickles and rice instead. When I asked for dessert, that came before the main course. The duck finally arrived just as I’d finished dessert and was about to leave. It was too late to eat, so I left it unfinished.
