Hanaakari

We only had one night here, but I’d gladly stay longer on a future trip to Japan. The host was generous and made us feel welcome, and we even got the unexpected chance to try on yukata. The hotel is clean, modern yet traditional in style, and tucked into a central spot within walking distance of the station and tourist sights. A real hidden gem.

The host made us feel so welcome, and the room was charming, spacious, and spotless. There’s so much care in the details here. We had a lovely time in Kanazawa, thank you!

Our first-floor room came with a little garden porch, which was a lovely extra. It was roomy and clean, and having a washing machine was especially handy. We stayed four nights and had one of the nicest stays of our whole trip. The host was gracious and polite, and we really appreciated the hospitality. The train station is a bit of a walk, around 10-15 minutes, but this was still a really lovely place to stay.

That private bathtub felt like having my own onsen, and I could adjust the water to exactly the temperature I wanted. There was also a Japanese-style shower. The room itself was enormous, with a separate tatami dining space looking out over a private garden. One of my favorite traditional-modern hotel stays in Japan, and an easy recommendation for anyone wanting this kind of stay in Kanazawa.
