We spent a wonderful stay at House Hotel Kenrokuzaka. The house felt new and sparkling clean, with comfortable beds, great a/c, and plenty of towels. The shower and bath spa area was huge. Our host was gracious and gave us excellent suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The location is right across from the Kenrokuzaka Garden and castle ruins. We could walk to the market and the charming Higashi Chaya District, with good coffee shops, cafes, and brew pubs along the way. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and apéritifs in the evening on the terrace, looking toward the mountains. Go to the sea for fresh sashimi! We loved getting to know Kanazawa and hope to return to this welcoming little city.

The owner was friendly and accommodating when we arrived later than planned. He showed us around, explained everything, then left us to enjoy the place. It was very clean, and the photos don't do it justice. The location beside the gardens and castle was ideal. Those were some of the best we'd seen in Japan, with great city views, and town centre was about a 15-minute walk away. We wish we'd stayed longer and would highly recommend it.

Our family of five stayed here during a seven-day trip to Kanazawa and felt relaxed and at ease. Parking right by the entrance was very convenient. Highly recommended.
