Hotel Intergate Kanazawa

Getting around was easy, with Kanazawa station and the main sights close enough to walk to. I spent four nights here and found the room roomy and very clean. The bathtub was big enough to stretch out in, which you don't often get in Tokyo hotels. There was food available throughout the day, so I never had to worry about going hungry. I'd stay here again when I'm back in Kanazawa.

The hotel sits right between the station and the nightlife, with lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and had enough space for two people and our two suitcases. They also serve afternoon tea, happy hour drinks, and supper at no extra cost, and those were all well done. I'd happily stay with this hotel brand elsewhere in Japan.

After a day out, it was nice to come back to complimentary drinks and snacks. The hotel is well placed for exploring, with cafes and restaurants close by. Our room was clean, practical, and had plenty of space.

The cleaning staff were professional, polite, and did a good job. Our rooms were also clean and spacious. The checkout experience, though, was awful. We were heading out right at the 11:00am checkout deadline, and at 10:59 they called to tell us to leave. We were already on our way, so that was fine. At the desk, the woman handling checkout and our luggage transfer seemed openly angry. She shoved things into our hands, took things away, huffed, and rolled her eyes. I'd never had that kind of treatment at a hotel. Then another couple came down around 11:15, while we were still finishing up. A different staff member checked them out kindly and politely. We felt completely unwelcome by comparison.
