Kanazawa - Hotel - Vacation STAY 27782v

Ks House is on a quiet street, about 25 minutes from Kanazawa train station, with a Family Mart nearby. There are also a baker, butcher, green grocer, local cafes, funky fashion shops, and a great camping store called Banjjos. The busier part of Kanazawa is only a five-minute walk away. We had a delightful family stay. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the shared kitchen, group dining room, toilets and showers were clean and set up well for travellers. The hostel staff were lovely and helpful, especially when we were struggling with our poor Japanese. They also gave us great recommendations for places to eat around Kanazawa.

The staff were friendly, and the location was good. But I booked a single room and the whole room area smelled really old. My room had the same smell, wasn't clean, and felt damp from outside. I wouldn't recommend sleeping there.

A quiet, tidy hostel in a good spot. The double beds were comfortable. It's a little far from the station, though catching a bus is easy.

The location was peaceful, though not my favorite part of town since there's not much nearby. We had to walk a lot or use the city loop bus, which didn't seem very reliable, though maybe we were just unlucky. Still, I'd stay again. Our family room was clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. It was a cozy hostel, and the staff were nice. There were four of us, including my boys, ages 7 and 9.
