W&M House

William is a great host, and W&M has everything you need. I’ve stayed there every year since it opened and love it each time. There are plenty of places nearby for W&M food, coffee, and shopping.

We stayed five nights as a family of four in this new building, and the rooftop lounge has a lovely view. There's a convenience store nearby and a proper espresso coffee shop next door, not one of those push-button machines from my old office 😂. Most attractions are close enough to walk to, though public transport is great too. I suggest taking the back streets when heading around, there are lots of discoveries to make. Hotels don't compare to this place!

Bill was a friendly host and gave us useful information about the Kanazawa area. The apartment at W & M House was modern, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and cozy while still being very comfortable and well equipped for a short or longer stay. We appreciated the sparkling and still water in the fridge, plus rice for the cooker. The elevator to each apartment and the rooftop deck were great, and there was a fantastic little Yakitori restaurant next door. We only wish we could have stayed longer 🥲

We travel long-term and came to Kanazawa for a short side trip this spring, booking four nights. We dreaded leaving because the place felt so comfortable and welcoming. Bill was incredibly helpful and replied to literally every question I asked. The western comforts with a touch of Japanese tradition, at least on level 5, made it feel like somewhere we could have stayed for a month. If you get a good day, the rooftop terrace has a perfect sunset. I highly recommend staying here, and hope you can book more than just a few days 😉💯
