Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and they were brought to the room. The staff even helped put away the futon, which gave the stay a traditional inn feel. There were Hina dolls on display, too, and the hot springs were great. One thing bothered me: a baby was left alone crying loudly in the hot spring changing room. I wondered if the family could have taken turns watching the baby. Maybe they had no choice if their room didn't have a bath, but the crying went on continuously in a fairly small changing room. I don't usually mind other guests, but I felt concerned.

I heard this was the best inn in Yuwaku Onsen. It's tucked into the mountains, a decent hot spring inn that still feels close enough to Kanazawa to reach by bus from the station, almost like the city's inner sanctum. The building is new and clean, and our lower-floor room had a decent view. The bath was okay, and since there weren't many people around, it was fine. I also enjoyed the open-air bath. I asked for a massage, and the older man who came wasn't especially strong, but he had plenty of entertaining stories about his experiences, so that was a good time. The room attendant system may suit some people, but I found it a bit difficult for the Reiwa era. You're assigned someone who looks after your room and keeps you entertained whether you want that or not. The quality of the stay depends on the attendant, and asking for someone else is hard for guests, which feels like a disadvantage to both sides. Meals are served in your room, which didn't work well for me. When I felt things weren't ready, I couldn't call anyone, and I think eating in a shared room would suit me better. The hallway door was left open during dinner, so it got very cold, and I felt sorry for the staff carrying dishes through it. Since meals are in the room, the futons aren't laid out right away. You have to wait on the veranda while staff work. With this room's layout, they can't just put the futon in the next room, so the wait can drag on if you've had too much to drink. Once I got into bed my face felt cold, but I slept soundly and was comfortable overall. Before I knew it, morning had come and the intercom woke me as breakfast was being prepared. Sorry I overslept, breakfast, please. It all seemed relaxing, but was actually quite hectic. I missed the nearby morning market because I slept in. Being able to sleep well is one of the best treats of travel, though. Breakfast was so-so. Last time I stayed at the Hilton in Teradomari, which was cheaper. Honestly, this was still a great hot spring inn. Would I rather have spent two nights at Terme Kanazawa? No, I think staying in different places gives you varied experiences, which is the best way to travel.

We came for a trip celebrating my parents' 60th birthday. When we said we hoped to make it special, they arranged a traditional celebratory vest to borrow, took photos, made a commemorative card, and even surprised them with a cake. My parents were both delighted. Dinner and breakfast were served in our room, so we could take our time, and everything was delicious. It became a wonderful memory. Thank you so much.

We had a great time drinking and playing with the board games they lend out. The food was delicious and the service attentive, too. Next time I'd like to come with my wife.
