My partner and I stayed here while doing our ohenro, and I'd happily come back for more than one night. The decor has a very cool art deco feel, which was amazing to see in Japan. It's close to temples 68 and 69, with lots of fun things to see and do in the beach area just outside. We had a lovely sea view and clean rooms where we could relax after a long day of walking. The dining room is very pretty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Free amenities are available at the front desk.

The beach was completely empty, and this is a great spot if you want some peace and quiet. The rooms are really comfortable, the restaurant is great, and the staff are so friendly and charming.

I stayed here during my ohenro pilgrimage, after visiting temples No. 68 and No. 69, and the location worked perfectly. The price was reasonable compared with other minshuku. Having a restaurant on site meant I didn't have to worry about dinner, and the Chinese food portions were very generous for a decent price. The room was clean, the service was excellent, and the Chinese lady helped me book accommodation for a later part of my trip. Highly recommended. I'd definitely stay again after the Ohenro pilgrimage!

The mid-century look is what drew me here. The vintage furniture in the rooms, halls, and dining area is gorgeous, and a lot more appealing than the tasteless decor in many new hotels. The vintage bathrooms are lovely too, the air-conditioning is new, the location is great, and the staff are really sweet. I just couldn't bring myself to love the place. I paid over 10.000¥ for a same-day booking, but in its current condition I think it's worth around 5.000¥. The carpet is dirty, some furniture needs paint, and the wiring on that amazing nightstand is wrong. There is no Onsen. The photos made it look lovely, but that part of the hotel is now creepy and abandoned. I wouldn't eat at the restaurant: the food was bland and questionable for my stomach, there was no proper vegetarian choice, and it seemed to use too much or old fish oil. That's especially sad because Chinese cuisine can be the best in the world. My bestie and I were travelling from Naoshima to Matsuyama and wanted to climb Inazumisan on the way. I keep wondering how the hotel could get back on its feet. A proper carpet cleaning or renovation, small paint repairs by a handyman, and some rooms set up nicely for foreign visitors could make it worth 10.000¥ a night. It's pretty close to Naoshima, so getting interest from foreign art and architecture lovers for the beautiful mid-century style could be feasible. They should also get the onsen running and provide clear information in English. Please keep the style and furniture!

The rooms are lovely and laid out simply, the restaurant is great, and the beach is right nearby.
