I was here on business and found the Wi-Fi reliable, with bright rooms that worked well for office tasks. The bathroom was spacious, and I couldn’t hear noise from the neighboring room. Even with a business hotel next door, I’d recommend staying here for work. The room is tied to its parking space, so you don’t park first and pick a room at the front desk. That could be awkward if you haven’t decided which room you want. For a larger room, Pal Hotel Munakata may suit you better. The food is a real plus. Pal Hotel’s breakfast is excellent, and the Japanese dishes are a good choice here. I’ve often been disappointed by Japanese food at love hotels, but everything we tried was delicious.

There was mold all over the room, and cockroaches in the bedding. The thought that I slept alongside one all night makes me sick. I reported it to the front desk, but they did nothing, then asked if a 1000 yen discount would be enough. What is the owner doing? I’m never coming back.

YOUBOX has been renovated and is now called Pal Annex. You get out of your car, then use a shared corridor and stairs to reach the room, instead of entering directly from individual rooms. Each room does have its own parking spot, though, which means you can’t pick based on photos in advance (´・ω・`) Room 203 has an ordinary sofa; the one in 201 is narrow and hard. In winter, the AC takes a while to warm things up, so you may stay under the blankets because it’s cold (´・ω・`). Might be a good excuse to warm each other up as soon as you get in, lol. The blankets are thick. If you usually prefer 001 or 002, bring your own (lol).

We came for karaoke, but my partner spotted the restriction as soon as we started singing. No karaoke from 10pm to 10am, orz. The notice also says the volume must stay under 4 even when singing is allowed. I normally have the TV around 15, so that’s quite a difference. At 4, it was basically silent, lol. I’m annoyed, and probably won’t use this hotel again for karaoke.
