Kanazawa Kenrokusou

It's close to the attractions, but the hotel itself was just okay. The room was hot. I asked the front desk about it, and they said, “ope. The window.” The window was open already, and that didn't help. The front desk staff weren't very personable and came across as curt or kind of rude. I'm not sure how this place got 3 stars.

We had such a good time here, with a clean room and nice staff. The breakfast was good too, and I appreciated that some dishes changed each day. There was plenty to choose from. The location was handy, close to the famous market, and the private parking was convenient since we could drive in and out whenever we wanted. Thank you, highly recommended 👌 👍 👏

The other staff members were consistently polite and helpful, but one large staff member with glasses irritated me so much that it ruined our trip. We eventually got moved to another room, but I still can't forgive him. We paid 17,000 yen for a room that was far too small for two people, with only one set of amenities each. We may have booked the wrong room, and although prices were high over the long holiday weekend, the location made it seem relatively inexpensive, so we went ahead. We just wanted somewhere to sleep, but the window broke and wouldn't shut. Staff came to close it as an emergency, then opened it for ventilation, and it wouldn't close again. They returned and kept fiddling with it. After hours of travel, waiting in that cramped room with strangers was unbearable. We were both stuck sitting on the bed. I can't believe what we paid for that room and service.
