Hotel Indigo Karuizawa by IHG

We left after three nights feeling fully recharged. The public bath was spotless, relaxing, and at just the right temperature. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the whole hotel felt warm and welcoming. We had the set dinner at the hotel restaurant, and every dish was great, especially the fish and beef. I’d recommend trying it. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the French toast and Japanese mushroom rice are must-tries. There’s a Lawson across the road, plus the hotel shuttle goes to a nearby shopping outlet with lots of stores, not far from the city centre. It was a real five-star stay.

The Ofuro and sauna were the best part for me, so relaxing, and I slept exceptionally well. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa. The design and the attention to detail throughout the space really impressed me, and it felt like great value. If you want a peaceful, high-quality getaway in Karuizawa, I’d highly recommend it.

The hotel is a short drive from the train station and ski resorts, and there’s a snowboard rental place very close by. Our stay was lovely thanks to Ryu and the team. When the transport company sent us the wrong snowboard, Ryu helped us communicate with them. My husband and I had a great time. Thank you!
