The views around Karuizawa were beautiful, and we really enjoyed our stay. The fruit plate was lovely, and the homemade jam his wife served with breakfast bread was exquisite. You can buy that jam too. The coffee the owner brews so carefully was delicious, and I even went back for another cup. Each room has its own interior, and the inn was very clean and relaxing. The owners’ bright smiles and thoughtful care were soothing. Dinner was a treat from the appetizer onward, especially the soup’s deep flavor and a hamburger so good I asked what was in it. The owner modestly credited the delicious water. I can confidently recommend this place.

We came as a group of four with children in middle school or older. It was Golden Week and the inn was full, so I’d like to visit again at a quieter time. The owners were friendly and kind, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I’d recommend the homemade jam that comes with the morning bread too, and they sell it.

The breakfast and coffee were delicious, and the attentive service made the hotel feel like home. Though it’s in an inconvenient location, the owner kindly drove us to sightseeing spots in his car for two days. They also kept our luggage after checkout, so I could finally head back to Tokyo in the afternoon. The hotel is a little old but very clean and comfortable. The owner was very polite, and even with four of us being foreigners, the care we got was wonderful. I hadn’t made a reservation, but when I got hungry in the middle of the night, they gave me rice balls and tamagoyaki for free. It was a great experience and worth it. I’ll come again. What a fun day at the sea!

The place was cute, very clean, and comfortable. The owners were so kind, and helped make the trip lovely. They were flexible about the shuttle schedule from the lodging to the station, and when I mentioned I love bread, they suggested some great bakeries. I’d definitely stay again.
