Wings Club Karuizawa

I visited on November 3rd, 2019, and asked the owner about the comments below. I was glad to hear they had no plans to close the shop. The building is old, and voices carry easily, but the other guests were quiet, so it didn’t bother me. The place has a lovely homey feel. Tonbo-no-Yu had an incredibly long line, so I used this bath instead. It was relaxing, and I’m glad I switched, although the 30-minute rotation felt a bit short once you include time to change. Breakfast was delicious, too. The owner’s grandchild was helping out and brought me more bread, saying, “There's more.” Such a heartwarming start to the morning. It’s a place I want to support.

The breakfast bread was delicious, and the place is conveniently just a 10-minute walk from the outlet mall. They said the shop would close at the end of this fiscal year, so if you’re interested, go soon.

The staff are all very good. I had no complaints apart from the weak water pressure in the room shower. The parking lot is southwest of the hotel. Coming west to east along National Route 18, look for the hotel sign just after the gas station, then turn in there. A small path northeast of the lot leads to the hotel entrance.

I stayed over the New Year holidays and really appreciated having a private bath to relax in after skiing. Just be aware that loungewear isn’t provided.
