The Crest Hotel Kashiwa

There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the JR station is about a five-minute walk away. I got a very warm welcome, and the room was large and clean. The Japanese breakfast was good. I'd recommend it.

I spent a month here working remotely while back in Japan, and it was a really comfortable stay. The price was reasonable, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the clean, spacious room had an amazing view of Mt Fuji on a sunny day. Kashiwa train station is very close, and the airport bus stop is right outside the hotel. The staff were caring and genuinely helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Their high hygiene standards made me feel safe from Covid. Highly recommended!

I stayed three weeks while visiting family and friends, and it worked perfectly as a place to get some work done. I'm sentimental about Kashiwa, so I'm biased, but if you're in that part of Chiba, the Crest is hard to beat. The rooms are simple, with the right amenities and a bit of an old-school Tokyo feel. Everything worked well, including the appliances, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The TV is small with only about four channels, fine as background noise; the big window view is the real feature. Staff were friendly and helpful, and someone was at the front desk at any hour, usually with three people available to help. They kept some of my belongings while I went to Kyoto for a few days. The Tobu limousine bus to and from Haneda stops right out front, and the hotel is under a five-minute walk from the station and Takashimaya. Lots of places to eat nearby.

I was there for a meeting and didn't have much time to look around the hotel, but the stay was nice. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a bathtub, hairdryer, and the magnificent Japanese toilet. Wi-Fi and food were good, though the breakfast restaurant is quite small. The hotel is near the station, bus stop, and Kashiwa mall.
